Welcome to English 9
DISCLAIMER: This year, I am moving most of my English 9 material to Google Classroom. As a result the material on the page below is becoming out of date. Feel free to use the material below for resources and extra help, but as of the 2018-2019 school it is NO LONGER an accurate representation of the current skills, handouts, worksheets, notes, rubrics, etc. If you are looking for the most up-to-date material check Google Classroom. Having said that, the three items that will be up-to-date (once they're posted) this year are the Semester 1 and Semester 2 Lesson Plans, and the Syllabus, Policies and Forms page.
If you have any questions, just ask and I'll send you whatever material you need.

The English language is, perhaps, the most important aspect of your life. Without it you would find it difficult to read, write, speak, and even think deep thoughts. Oh, and you’re going to need a command of the English language for all of your other classes, and your life beyond high school. But before we move on into new and deeper content, before we start to stretch your brains, this class will review material from junior high, fill in holes that might need filling, and set your brains on the right path so that you can meet and surpass every expectation of high school. Welcome to English 9.
